About Me

I am a highly analytical, field-proven Forestry Professional and GIS/Data Analyst dedicated to bridging the gap between empirical field forestry, geospatial data engineering, and community-led policy formulation. My career is distinguished by a unique dual expertise: a strong foundation in rigorous, quantitative biometric sampling paired with advanced socio-economic data engineering.

I have a proven track record of leading technical teams in the field, designing robust research methodologies, and contributing to national-level carbon accounting, urban valuation, and critical wildlife conservation frameworks across Nepal. My core professional vision is to pioneer data-driven conservation strategies, optimize community forestry economic frameworks, and lead climate-resilient landscape management initiatives by translating complex raw ecological data into actionable, sustainable governance strategies.

Professional & Research Experience

As Technical Team Lead for the Hile Community Forest Operational Plan (191.09 ha, Salyan), I managed a six-member team executing boundary mapping, community consultations, and a stratified systematic inventory. I calculated growing stock to set sustainable harvest limits and authored ecologically sound guidelines for Pinus roxburghii resin extraction using the Rill Method. This leadership role enhanced my capacity to process complex biometric datasets, manage large-scale field inventory operations, and align community forest structures directly with government regulatory guidelines.

Expanding upon this local leadership, my broader research career across Nepal merges geospatial applications with socio-ecological data engineering to drive conservation policy. As an FRTC Research Intern, I mapped Trees Outside Forests using Collect Earth Online to support national carbon accounting frameworks and managed strict QA/QC pipelines during fieldwork in Bara, Parsa, and Rautahat. Additionally, I co-designed multi-tier methodologies for a PhD study in Chitwan's Barandabhar Corridor, modeled urban forestry willingness to pay (WTP) in Kathmandu, and utilized spatial Kernel density modeling to isolate the drivers of a 90% Bengal Florican population decline.
